For most of my photography career, I've struggled with anxiety and depression. In the beginning, the only way I knew how to cope was through self isolation. This created a new challenge for myself when it came to practicing photography. I love taking photos of people but there were no people. This is how my journey in self portraits started. I decided to become the girl in front and behind the camera. What began through a state of survival has now become an outlet for creative expression that is inspired by my experiences, thoughts and emotions.
I hope you enjoy.
